What does Public Health Bonaire do?
- Public Health Bonaire has started a sexual health consultation hour. Here you can get information and ask questions about love, sex, relationships, or contraception. You can also take a free, anonymous STD test. Our nurses speak Papiamentu, Dutch, Spanish, and English. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00. - Public Health Bonaire also conducts research into the prevalence of STDs on Bonaire. Public Health Bonaire monitors how often these infections occur on the island. We use data from laboratories, general practitioners, and the hospital for this purpose. This allows us to see whether STDs are more or less prevalent and to provide advice to healthcare providers and policymakers.
