Healthy at work
You want to stay healthy during your work. However, sometimes you still run the risk of contracting an infectious disease. A vaccination can protect you. You are more than welcome at Public Health Bonaire for advice and your vaccinations.
I am an employer
Good employer ship means, among other things, a healthy and safe workplace for employees. Public Health Bonaire unburdens companies and educational institutions by providing information, vaccinations, and vaccination certificates. For advice on which vaccinations are required in which sector, you can consult the company doctor or occupational health service.
I am an employee
The two most commonly administered vaccinations for professional groups, interns, and students are:
| Hepatitis B | Do you have a profession where you may come into contact with blood or other bodily fluids? For example, do you work in healthcare, waste processing, as a dentist (or dental assistant), as a piercing or tattooing specialist, or as a beautician? Then you run the risk of infection with hepatitis B. This is an inflammation of the liver. You will receive 3 vaccinations, after which it is advisable to check your antibodies against hepatitis B (the titer test). |
| Tetanus (DTP) | Tetanus vaccination is recommended for many professions, such as waste processing and working with animals. |
